Lessons

Hello Ladies! Below I have posted the lessons from Beloved that we have gone over. The last lesson ties them all together and  any that I was not able to post, let me know if you have questions!! Love you all.

Class 1: Time Management- Is God worth your time?

Scripture: Matthew 22:35-37

35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

This week we discussed that there are so many great things that God desires to do for and through us, but
we need to spend that quality time with Him for this to happen. There is so much beyond what we can imagine that He wants to reveal. He is waiting for you to slow down and meet with Him.We build our intimacy and relationship with God through prayer and reading our word. As we do this we grow closer to Him.We begin to get to know Him and love Him with our heart, mind, body, and soul.
Sometimes we can get busy and may not have time to sit down and get that word from God, but there is time. You may also have too much time and get caught up doing other things unproductive and will become lackadaisical.
This semester just started and there is a lot happening in our personal lives. We want to start now to do what we need to in order to seek God and not get caught up. For example it is easy to blame school because we have tests and papers, but we actually do have the time for God.
Our daily walk is important to God and He desires to give us wisdom on those things that are getting in the way of Him having all of us, our struggles, sin, and temptations. He can help us grow in the things of His Word. Let us not get distracted by our everyday life “routine”.
We all have our unique and divine purpose that God wants to show us, provide us with insight, and a vision of our purpose. As women we have so much greatness that He wants us to share with others. When we lack quality time He can’t give us clarification and instruction.
·         Where are you now? What kind of time are you giving to Him?
·         Grow in your personal walk with Him. Be careful to not compare yourself to someone else.We each have our own relationship.
·         Seek God on what He desires from you and your relationship with Him.
Activity I
Write down a list of everything that you are involved in, participate in, what you like to do.
·         How often do you do them?
·         Do you have a lot that you do?
·         Do you have a few things that you do?
·         Does anything stand out that is hindering your relationship with God?
o   You may see that you have a lot that hinders your time with Him.
§  Involvement versus having personal time.
Sometimes we believe that our involvement with activities centered around Him will replace our personal time.
o   Your list may be small
§  You may have time to spend with Him, but are not doing it while not appreciating or using that time wisely. Example, watching TV, Facebook
Activity II
Pick any day of the week and write out your typical day from when you wake up to when you go to bed.
* change it up Satan knows your routine and what you will and will not do *

·     This activity allows you to see the visual of your day. It will help you realize when you can spend time with God to build a relationship. You may have to step out of your comfort zone.
In your mind it may seem like there is no time,  there is so much going on, but in actuality it is possible. Seek God on discipline, sacrifice, and help. At first when you start out it, it may seem hard , but the more you do it , it will be okay.
·         Example 6am prayer, not watching TV as much or not at all is what you may have to do.
Time management goes for everyone. The more you grow God will always require more of you, something new that you will have to get used to.
·         Example for myself is 6am prayer that is a struggle until I am obedient and make a sacrifice and seek God for help to do it. Strive to give him your best everyday, not just a five minute prayer right before you go to bed or in the morning.

Conclusion
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind , body, and soul. Give your all to God. This will require time and he is worth that. He has so much for you and a lot to say and wants to love on you, but this cannot happen if you are not taking the time to grow in your word and prayer to see what he wants you to know to help you in your purpose and daily walk. Ask Him for help and he will guide you.

Class 2: “Just One More Time”

Theme
Women Running to Win: “Breaking Strongholds and Winning the Prize”.  1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Bondage: slavery or involuntary servitude; serfdom.
The state of being bound by or subjected to some external power or control;
The state or practice of being physically restrained, as by being tied up, chained, or put in handcuffs, for sexual gratification.
Personal subjection to the control of a superior;
Stronghold:  are entrenched ways of thinking and living that are contrary to the word of God that create a fortress (or enemy outpost) where Satan has dominion rather than God in your life.
Each lesson is designed for us to be free from bondage and to not allow Satan to have us go another day without walking in the way we know we should or staying trapped.
We belong to God.

Class 2: “Just One More Time”
Scripture Reference:
Luke 9:23-27
Amplified Bible (AMP)
23 And He said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [[a]disown himself, [b]forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, [c]refuse and give up himself] and take up his cross daily and follow Me [[d]cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also].24 For whoever would preserve his life and save it will lose and destroy it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he will preserve and save it [[e]from the penalty of eternal death].25 For what does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and ruins or forfeits (loses) himself?26 Because whoever is ashamed of Me and of My teachings, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when He comes in the [[f]threefold] glory (the splendor and majesty) of Himself and of the Father and of the holy angels.27 However I tell you truly, there are some of those standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.
Self denial is very important in our walk with Christ. This bible study will be focused around procrastination, discipline, obedience, sacrifice.  We are called to take up our cross daily and follow him. This means that we going after the things of Christ such as advancing his kingdom, being more like him, and allowing for our flesh to die each day. We often forget our cross, but are required to have it every day if we are going to consider ourselves to be one of his disciples.
Thought process:
There are many things that we need to let go of that is hindering or walk with Christ or stopping it from being at its fullest potential. We can get caught up in the “Just One More Time “syndrome. When we do this we allow Satan to slow us down in what God wants us to do. This title can go with so many things that we can be caught up in. In your own personal walk you can think of something that you know you need to do, but you just say ill do it later or its okay if I take care of this another time.  You may know that you need to start something that is going to help you in your walk, but you delay it because you are not comfortable or it will require something new from you.  When we do this we allow bondage to form and strongholds.
Luke 9:57-62
Amplified Bible (AMP)
57 And it occurred that as they were going along the road, a man said to Him, Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.58 And Jesus told him, Foxes have lurking holes and the birds of the air have roosts and nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.59 And He said to another, [a]Become My disciple, side with My party, and accompany Me! But he replied, Lord, permit me first to go and bury ([b]await the death of) my father.60 But Jesus said to him, Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and publish abroad [c]throughout all regions the kingdom of God.61 Another also said, I will follow You, Lord, and become Your disciple and side with Your party; but let me first say good-bye to those at my home.62 Jesus said to him, No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things behind] is fit for the kingdom of God.
Jesus told his disciples to come yet one would say they have to go back and do something. Following Christ means to leave some things behind and to start something new in him. Many times we worry too much about those things that God wants us to let go of.
Activity I
Draw a cross and in that write down everything that you are still holding on to that you need to put down in order to follow Jesus. What are some things that you know he is telling you to do, but you are just saying one more time until I fully let it go? What situations have you been caught in where you said just one more time Jesus. He wants you to pick up your cross daily and follow him.
What are your thoughts like right now? How would you describe your thought process?
·         Is it Godly thinking or worldly thinking? Where is your influence coming from?
·         Underneath  the cross write down why would God want you to drop these things to follow him?
·         Why would God want us to keep the word in our hearts and minds?
Make a cross of things that God wants you to do when following him. What are some things of God that he wants you to pick up?
·         Look at both crosses, do you see  anything that will conflict with each other
·         What do you notice about the cross you have made?
Activity II
Write a letter to yourself about where you are now. What are some things that you need to let go of? This letter should reflect your current state at this present moment in your walk in Christ. Be real in this letter, no one is going to read it but you. At the end of the year you will look it over to show you how much you have grown this semester. Most importantly any strongholds that have been broken of your life and situations you were in and how much you have grown from it. Include in the letter where you would like to be 2 months from now and the letter will and should reflect if you have got there.
Conclusion
We have to trust In God and walk as one of his disciples. Following Jesus means to drop certain things and walk with him. As we mature in our walk Jesus will always show us things that we need to deny ourselves of. It never ends, when we gave our life to Christ we forgot that this is a daily walk and cannot  get comfortable. The more we say just one more time to do this or do that we are allowing Satan to get comfortable in our lives. We are to seek God and live by his word, this is not saying to be perfect, but we are striving to be more like him and to not allow Satan to control us with thoughts, actions, and habits that are contrary to the word of God.

Hello Ladies!

Please read this Word of Encouragement

I have been praying for a word for Beloved to close out the semester.  Surprisingly I did not get a lesson, but more an encouragement for you to apply with what was taught this far. I want to tie all the teachings and activities together and encourage you all with love of God to continue to put away the things that are not of God and to seek him with your whole heart.  As you know this semester’s theme was “Women Running to Win: ‘Breaking Strongholds and Winning the Prize’”.  I pray that the things that were holding you back you have got better with or even are no longer in your life any more. Progress is better than no progress, but don’t wait to do the things that you know you need to do.  I say this for myself as well. These are the lessons that we have gone over:

Class one: Time management- Is God worth your time?
Class two: “Just one more time”
Class three:  Reigniting your fire.

Important words we went over: Stronghold ways of thinking and living that create a fortress for the enemy, where satan has dominion rather than God in your life. I often referred to two plans. Plan A and Plan B.
The plan A refers to the things of God, his character and what he wants us to do. The plan B way is things that are opposite of God, this can be our flesh ( or sinful nature) , our environments, and the spiritual forces. Constantly going with the plan B way and influences establishes strongholds.
Bondage: Being a slave to sin, opposed to being a slave to righteousness, subjection to a force, power, or influence.

There were more classes, but these three will be the focus as some was a continuation of another class.

Looking at the title of these classes you may even begin to think yes I have been doing that, I have not been applying the vows I made to God,or my passion for him is not where it should be.  These lessons are for you to continue to use throughout your life and not just this semester and I am preaching to myself as well. I have to encourage myself and use the word to walk as God want me to and not give in to the flesh.

For class one we talked about the importance of us giving our time to God with the scriptural reference of Matthew 22:35-37. Give your all to God, this will require time. Love him with your whole heart, soul and mind. We can say that we have too much time or no time at all, but there is always room for God. We can’t expect to do so much for him and seek his hands without wanting to seek his face. We often expect a lot from God, but we are not giving him anything. There is a lot that we are in need of and God is fully aware of that, he just wants to speak to us and spend time with us. Everyone’s time with God is different so we cannot compare how to seek him or pray. God will lead you to prayer, place things on your heart, and speak to you, but you have to be obedient and want that time with him too. Don’t have too much time that you are forgetting about God and wanting to do other things instead. The time that you have that is “extra” instead of watching TV, going on Facebook, or going to people, spend time with him. For those that have “no time” or “little time” write out your day and see your gaps and use that time to spend with him. Also don’t forget that we are to pray without ceasing, meaning our minds should be elevated on him and including him in all of our decisions. Prayer is also constant communication with God as well as the license for heaven to intervene with earthly affairs.

The second class on the topic of “Just one more time” with scriptural reference Luke 9:23-27 presented our excuses to not go ahead and stop the habit or way of thinking we know that God doesn’t want us to have. We have to pick up our cross daily and deny ourselves and follow him. Self-denial is very important with our walk with Christ. Sometimes we have things that we know God has said years, months, or weeks ago that we do not do. As believers we need to go ahead and apply what we know God as spoken to us.  When we get caught up in procrastination we allow for Satan to hinder our walk with God.  Walk in obedience and sacrifice. We cant keep holding on to the negative things that are of no use to us and will regret later. This leads to strongholds and bondage. We open up more things to come at us that we don’t need to allow to. We have to make that right decision to go after the kingdom of God and his righteousness.

There are things that God want us to do, change is always going to require adjustment. Go ahead and apply anything that God has asked of you to do whether it is praying more, reading, working out, or eating better. It is only to help you, don’t delay it, once you get started you will see that it is not that bad and how much
God is with you. Defeat satan by saying yes you will do what God has asked of you and not give satan any gratification of you saying no to God nor give your flesh any authority over your spirit. Stay in the word and speak it over your life.  Choose the things of the spirit, learning this Sunday at service to get back up if you fall, but don’t stay there. Don’t allow for satan to keep you anywhere longer than you need to be.

The third class we discussed “Reigniting your fire” with the scriptural reference Daniel Chapter 7. Keeping our focus on God and making him the center of our lives is very important and essential to our spiritual growth and relationship with him.  People, situations, circumstances will try to have us not keep God first or not worship him. We are to give him praise and have thanksgiving in our times of stress and tough moments. Reigniting our fire for God allows him to consume those things that are keeping us from him. God is a consuming fire and this fire never goes out.  When we lose our fire this can allow the enemy, our sinful nature, and environment to replace God. God can rid us of the things that can cause potential strongholds and help to us recognize anything that will try to trap us in something longer than needed.  We are God’s Beloved, dearly loved and dear to his heart. Sometimes it’s hard to fathom how much God loves us. We can at least allow him to show us so that we can begin receiving it

Look over your school year, you should be happy of your growth and everything that God has done for you. I also believe that things that you struggled with before you have overcome. Keep overcoming when temptations come up or negative thought process. We are to die daily and pursue being in our spirit. I do pray that you coming to these classes have helped and was of assistance to your walk with Christ. For those of you that could not make it hope you got something from this email. My encouragement is for you to always apply what you learn no matter what happens to you. The enemy wants you to give up and feel like your not worthy to pursue the things of God. We are not perfect, but we can always strive to be like God and keep his word apart of us. KEEP GOD FIRST yes God knows our hearts, but make the choices you know will please God and ask him to help you daily Stay strong and allow him to help you with your mindsets and actions. Dont let satan get comfortable in your life where you see no change and allow for no progress to happen. If you fall down get back up, dont roll around and feel sorry of your fall, just get up and keep it moving in God We are his Beloved and he loves us dearly.

Your Beautiful, Unique, and God Loves You.

Kendra and Jesus Lol.
Keeping you all in prayer!
